Once Scott approves, Steve to send announcement. 3. The IESG approved publication of PPP Bridging Control Protocol (BCP) as a Proposed Standard. Thomas to provide text for an RFC Editor note to Steve who will then send the announcement. 4. The IESG approved publication of Diffie-Hellman Proof-of-Possession Algorithms as a Proposed Standard. The IESG approved publication of Use of the KEA and SKIPJACK Algorithms in CMS as an Informational RFC. Steve to send announcement. 9. The IESG approved publication of Performance Evaluation of Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN) in IP Networks as an Informational RFC. Steve to send announcement. 10. Marcus was tasked to review the RFC on Random Numbers to ascertain if it can be reclassified as a BCP. If not, Marcus to generate an Internet-Draft to be published as a BCP RFC. 11. A concern was raised about exposing secuirty/keying information in MIBs. We concluded that it is not a specific SNMP/MIB issue but a much more generic issue w.r.t. cascading security risks. Marcus accepted the token to initiate an effort to address cascading security issues when security/jeying information is exchanged for one security mechanism/algorithm using another security mechanism/algorithm. 12. The IESG discussed IMAP4 ID extension document. A new version is needed to define use of uppercase MUST, and Ned is to draft an IESG note to be included when published. ACTION ITEMS: 1.
