IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

What would the world look like without texture? What if everything was
smooth and simple? This image is a very basic poker table, with general
textureless shapes hinting at the real life objects they represent.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

When I saw the current topic, I looked back at some of my older simpler
work from when I was just learning POV-Ray. I found one from before I
had even learned how to use textures. It struck me that while it doesn't
look realistic at all, it has a very "computerized" artistic feel to it.
The basic shapes only hint at what they're really representing. I then
decided to make a scene using only the basic shapes: sphere, cone, box,
cylinder. Along with basic colors and some reflections, I came up with
this rendition of a poker table.
