an exhibition of architectural models inside a cathedral.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

I started with the idea to make a scene of a cathedral under construction, with
the woodconstruction still holding up the arcs etc. But while in the progress,
I found it a nice idea to have the glass/plumb windows reflect the light on the
floor. Of course this would have been one of the last tasks in the
construction, so I switched to a complete church. although still within the
assignment, it found this to be a bit meagre, so I decided something had to be
added to make it a more stimulating picture, well..more architecture seemed
like a good idea.

I found it was impossible to make one lamp with both the raytraced 'shadow' as
well as the volume light. furthermore I had problems with the angel in which
one views the foglight. it turned out that the fog only became visible at a
distance (with less fog) and the background became invisible (with more fog).
so in the end every window had to have 2 lights, so that I could tweak the
fogging, and have the raytraced colours (of course faking it would have been
more easy, but I just wanted it to work in this way)
