IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

I wanted to try to think of something lonely that still had a human element
involved. My inspitration from this image came after I saw the movie "Road to
Perdition."
When they were at that Diner I though to myself, "those rest stations in the
middle
of nowhere would be pretty lonely." I decided that that was going to be my
image, a Diner
in the middle of nowhere, on the road to who knows where.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

Most of the image was created using NURBS
I used a combination of NURBS primitive such as planes, cylinders, and spheres
with
tools like Extrude NURBS and Loft Nurbs to build the Diner and terrain. The
truck was
created by extruding the faces of a Poly Cube then applying PolySmooth. I came
on the'
snow by accident. Originally it was a background of stars. Then I tried adding
some fog
to the scene to make it more realistic, but it just ended up looking like a snow
storm!
Well, I decided that i like the result, so I stuck in a particle emitter for the
snow
up close to the camera and ta da, my image was done! All the texture are simple
shaders
made with the built in tools.
