IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
I've tried to create a fairly mundane scene of a lab.
worksurface. The boundaries of science are not being pushed, the laws of the
universe are not being defined, and there's not a wizard refining his art for
bloody miles. The cups are modelled on real objects - my father recently came
out of hospital with several of the sputum ones. Right now they're filled with
pickles.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
    Almost entirely basic CSG. The
lettuce leaf is an iso-surface and the mayo. is placed with a trace macro, but
that's about it for megapov. Oh, except the visible bunsen flame has no_shadow
applied to it, and the turbulence showing on the cup comes from a
differently-textured copy (using slope for soft-edges) with no_image and
no_reflection applied to it.

It is, inevitably, quite a boring scene, but I'm quite pleased with it. Could do
with more small details and bric-a-brac, and some surfaces could do with more
"weathered" texturing (jpg compression did this for me in the case of the
rubber bunsen pipe;)
