IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

By looking at some remnants of the Roman Empire, the spectator is thinking
about that old era.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

I started with the theater and tried to model it from sketches I found in my
Latin Dictionary. Later I started another scene with the wall, the column
and the armament (from the comics of Asterix) and thought that it would
look quite nice, re-unite the original theater with the Roman stuff which
still exists today.
I know that the background looks a little bit boring, but I liked its
oil-painting-like look.
The grass and the feathers were created by a perl skript, which is enclosed
in the zip file.
The height_fields (mountains, landscape, wall) were created with gimp.

Ok, I hope you remember your Latin lessons :-)
