IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

In the world of mathematics we see the building blocks of life -- the basic
mathematical three-dimensional shapes -- suspended in "space" Who knows what
will evolve...

Tied into our world, mathematics is truly the universal language. Its laws and
derivations are from nature, even if they were originally conceived in nothing
more than our mind they end up found in nature. This is the tie into our world
-- the evolution of mathematics paralleling the evolution of life (math
describes nature, ergo math became more complex as nature did)

I know it's b/w -- I did it for a reason: mathematics is just being born, we
don't have high-level concepts like that yet (also, b/w is cool!)

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

It took me a while to get the composition right -- that's pretty much all there
is to the image. Lighting is two 9x9 area lights with distance fading, there's
two boxes, one sphere, one plane, one texture.
