IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

The famous Argonauts under the leadership of Iason are on their last voyage
with their famous ship ARGO towards mount Olympus.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

The flying rock has been made with hf-lab and the resulting heightfield has
been copied, manipulated and mirrored with gimp so that these two heightfield
form the rock.

The galley has been made with sPatch as well as the captain standing on deck.
The shields are csg.

The moon is a imagemap from a photo taken by a apollo mission. It is applied
on a sphere which lies between the sky sphere and cloud sphere (leopard
pattern). The fog is a ground fog.

The glowing effect is a scaled sphere with halo (I like 3.02!).

The plant on the rock is a small povray procedure which can be found on the
zip file under tree.pov.

I'm sorry for the short description and the quite dirty code but time was
pressing again. :-)

If you have further questions I would be glad to help you. Just e-mail me.

I greet all those at news.povray.org and wish everyboy good luck for this
competition.
