IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
More than any other element, neon calls to those who
behold it. It seeks to improve our well being. Neon may be a noble element
but its use is certainly for the commoner's pleasure.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
Moray was used to create a
foreground and a background sandwich, with a substitute placeholder for the
neon sign.

The reflection in the window is a colorized sketch that was blurred and
then mapped to a side of a cube.

The neon sign was generated using Spline to create the tubular shape
from pencil-and-paper grid data. The shape was filled with an emitting halo.
An identical spline shape, with a slightly larger radius was intersected
with a box that clipped it at anything a tube's width behind. This became the
blacked out part of the tube. A text editor combined the POV files.
