IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

Beginning of the childhood for strange creatures in a strange planet. :)

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

*SKY/MOONS - really big sphere with transparent, highly ambient texture, serving
as the red/yellow clouds. moons are big spheres outside the sky sphere with yet
another highly ambient texture.
*LAND - height field created from an image created by 'bozo' texture with
glass-type texture
*OCEAN - i originally intended to model it after a real ocean, but decided that
swamp-type-of-thing would do better. greenish ground fog was added for this
effect.
*CREATURES - mostly made out of cones and spheres. they're not really modelled
after anything. not as detailed i'd have liked, though.
*EGGS - had the most trouble with these. not because they were hard to model or
anything, but because i couldn't make them show up! i even had them with the
highest ambience possible, and they still came out black. fortunately, i didn't
want them to be too bright anyway, so i just left them as is. but, if anyone
figures out what i did wrong, please tell me.
*CAMERA - fairly close to the 'ground'. mostly trial-and-error to find out the
position i liked.
*LIGHTING - i wanted the scene to be evening/night scene, and because of the
bright land, i kept the light very dim, and there is only one of them above the
eggs. green fogs helped too in keeping the scene somewhat dark.

the scene is pretty simple and if you want to duplicate any effects in the
scene, you can probably see what i did from the source. but if you have any
questions or comments, feel free to e-mail me at above address.
