IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
Pure photorealism without any ideas (beyond the realism)
isn't what I love the most, so I have tried to show some of my ideas of a
school. My school is a warm and protective place equipped with an open door to
the outside world. The three blackboards symbolize science (1+1=2), humanities
(the letters p, l, u, s), and the contradiction to the real reality (where 1
plus 1 becomes 3 after a while). After having learned these things you are
ready to leave the school and go into the beautiful (trees and golden balls)
but dangerous and chaotic (mandelbrot) outside world.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
The first steps of this image are
created in Moray 2.5, but the finetuning is made by hand (I work best that
way). The trees are a variation of the Sonya-tree (thanks very much, Sonya!)
equipped with a new type of leaves and another trunk (a Bezier-patch). The
ground is a magnet-type fractal image created with Fractint and used as an
image-map on a height-field of the same image with just two colors: one for the
plane ground and one for the pond. See the scene-files for details (but be
warned: it's rather chaotic too!).
