IMAGE DESCRIPTION: 

Inspired by a play which one of the plot devices was a
collection of glass animals.


DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 

The "animals" where "created" from 3DS models that were tweaked
by the Rhino modeller to normalize the objects (around the origin
and scaled).

I tried to use all the glass textures that were available with PovRay 3.0.
Some of the textures are used twice since there were more "animals"
than textures.

Placement of the objects in the scene was done manually by rotating
the objects into position from a base position.

The "lightning" effects were added to give the illusion of
a glass mirror surface floating in timeless space.
