IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
I used glass as a metaphor for use and abuse. For example, a bottle
is a very useful example of glass, but a broken bottle can have
threatening conotations. Likewise, many drugs have valid mecidinal
uses but, like the white powder in this image, abuse is a problem.
Although there are only a few elements in this image, I've tried
to pay close attention to the overall composition. The 2 bottles,
the straw and the candle form a triangle which I feel ties everything
together quite well. As always, though, I'm open to any constructive
critisism -- all comments are most welcome!

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
All the models in this image were created by hand. The bottles are
lathe objects with some CSG techniques to 'hollow out' the bottles
and to create the smashed effect. The candle uses blobs and there
are 2 light sources placed just above it. A third light is placed
at a distance. The flame consists of 2 lathe objects, although I do
feel it needs more work. Any suggestions?

The wooden texture, white powder and background were all created
using Texture Magic. The Coca-Cola logo is an imagemap manipulated
in Paint Shop Pro. The poster on the wall uses POVray's built-in
        mandelbrot texture.
