IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
You are invited tonight to see the biggest black diamond of the world !

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
First, I want to tell you that I'm only 13 years old and I'm French, so
my english
will surely be bad.

I started this project under 3DS with the modeling of the base, it was
very long
because it's very detailed. After that, the glass globe was very simple : a
simple surface
of revolution. The diamond was easy : a surface of revolution with only 4
steps.
The rack is composed of a few boxes.

I converted everything using 3DTO3D and I imported them in Moray. The
scaling was a
hard part, it took about 1 hour. I choosed the textures in the Pov-Ray library
but I modified
some of them.

I wanted smooth shadows, so I putted an Aera Light; I wanted some dust,
so I putted
atmospheric effect and a Spot Light; I wanted more realism, so I putted a Lens
Flare. And of
course, there are reflections and refractions. Obviously, the Render Time grew
up very quickly.
