Use the Message Security Configurations page to view and modify the available configurations for message security providers.
To configure message security, you need a basic understanding of security and web services concepts. For more information, see Chapter 3, Administering Message Security, in Oracle GlassFish Server Security Guide and Chapter 6, Administering Web Applications, in Oracle GlassFish Server Administration Guide.
GlassFish Server implements message security using message security providers integrated in its SOAP processing layer. The message security providers depend on other security facilities of GlassFish Server.
For each configuration, the following information is provided.
The message layer at which authentication is performed. By default, a SOAP configuration is provided. It is also possible to provide an HttpServlet configuration.
The default server provider for this configuration. By default, no default server provider is configured.
The default client provider for this configuration. By default, no default client provider is configured.
The Message Security Configuration table also contains the following options.
Button to create a new configuration.
Button to delete one or more selected configurations.
