=========================================================================== // Amiga Update - News and Rumors // \X/ (A Very Occasional Newsletter) \X/ =========================================================================== 950210 Just when you've given up all hope... You hear the rumor that many CEI executives are hopping planes and flying to the Bahamas, site of the interminable court battles over Commodore's remains. Supposedly, all these Top People were doing their flying yesterday (February 9). The other rumor that surfaced yesterday is that the creditors are now wanting a combination of US and Bahamian bankruptcy laws imposed, as that would allow them to receive more funds. However, that would also change the accountabilty of former corporate executives (aka, Mehdi Ali and Irving Gould). Therefore, Ali and Gould would sue to prevent this change. Yet more legal manuvering if it were to come to this. This rumor isn't as encouraging as the first, but it has more substance. Either way, the soap opera apparently continues. =========================================================================== || Brad Webb - available at: // Commodore has fallen || webb@malamute.med.ge.com \X/ and it can't get up || GEnie -- B.Webb || Portal -- Jumpdisk ===========================================================================
